Green bean and onion shortcake 1944

Vidalia onion & green bean Shortcake
1 Vidalia sweet onion, thinly sliced,1 can or sm bag frozen green beans. 1/4 c. butter1 c. sour cream1 box 8 1/4 oz. corn muffin mix1 egg, beaten1/3 c. milk1 sm. can creamed corn2 drops Tabasco Sauce1 tsp. dill1 c. grated sharp cheese
Sauté onion in butter. Cool. Add sour cream to muffin mix. Blend in egg with milk, creamed corn, Tabasco, salt, dill. Pour into greased 8×8 inch pan. Sprinkle 1/2 c. cheese on top. Pat onion mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake uncovered at 425° for 25 minutes.
